It is the responsibility of each competitor to read and understand the current NACSW rule book prior to participating in this event.

The Facility- is partially on a hill. You will be walking down a grass or paved slope to return to your vehicle. Bathrooms can be accessed by stairs or walk up the paved hill to a different bathroom. Stairs - 9 stairs up are the exit of an element. With advanced notice we can guide someone to a level exit. 5 gentle large stairs are the entrance and exit of an element - with notice -we can guide you to a ramp instead of stairs. Dogs and handlers need to be able to safely negotiate a variety of surfaces, including, but not limited to , tile, carpet, linoleum, gravel, asphalt, uneven surfaces and slippery flooring. Handlers should be prepared to deal with a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain and snow. Handlers should be prepared for the physical demands and must be able to navigate the terrain with their dog accordingly.

Registration Method- All registration will be on line via this website/Event page. Paper and phone entries will not be accepted. Completing the online registration form is not a guarantee of entry. You will receive a response email confirming that we received your trial entry after registration -this email does not confirm your space in the trial. There will be a separate confirmation from sccanine@gmail.com . to let you know if your entry has been given a space in the trial.

Note- We will not be taking payment until you are given a space in the trial. You will receive information on where to send payment (checks only) . You will then have 7 days to complete your payment to confirm your space in the trial. If payment is not received you have forfeited your entry.

Parking Parking will be tight. A lot attendant will guide you where and how to park. Competitors should expect to keep their dogs confined in the vehicle (and not able to jump or put head out window) when not competing. The logistics of the trial do not allow for dogs to hang out on leash in between searches. Competitors should plan to provide their own shade using shade cloths or canopies. Each team will be assigned a number. You are expected to pay attention to the number boards and be prepared for your turn. No overnight parking is available.

Running vehicles or generators in the parking lot is not allowed. If you are in a RV and need to run generator, please give advance notice.

Smoking: Smoking is not allowed , including the use of e-cigarettes.

RV parking- we need advanced notice to reserve you a space. A check box will be on registration. Yes there is room to turn around. Read reactive parking, you will be in same area. No overnight RV, van or camper parking is available. This policy may be modified at the last minute by trial host.

Reactive dog parking is limited. If you need reactive parking we need to know in advance and will reserve a space for you. A check box is on the registration form. You will be in a different area that will require you to pay attention/and be at your vehicle or close potty proximity.. We cannot search for you. Red (not maroon or purple) Red bandanas are recognized and suggested for reactive dogs. Due to the location of parking and the trial site, your dog will be walking and in sight of other dogs. There will not be separate warm up boxes.

DOG POLICIES:

All dogs *must be on a 6’ leash at all times when not being tested. NO Flexi/retractable leashes while not participating in a competition search.
